Eagle Force Telangana: India's first AI-enabled law enforcement platform, launched by the DGP

20 years old. 26 modules. 3 AI engines. 1 mission.

At 20, as a 3rd-year Computer Science student at Vasavi College of Engineering and Co-Founder of Atlas AI Labs, I was entrusted with a responsibility usually reserved for large technology companies or national agencies: architecting the official digital and AI infrastructure for the Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE Force), Telangana Police.

On 31 March 2026, the Director General of Police, Telangana, Shri B. Shivadhar Reddy, IPS, formally launched the Eagle Force website and AI platform at eagleforce.tspolice.gov.in. I was felicitated by DGP Shri B. Shivadhar Reddy, the Director of Eagle Force Shri Sandeep Shandilya (Retd. IPS), and the Director of TGCSB, Smt. Shikha Goel, IPS, DG.

How it started: a story book and a prototype

This journey didn't start with a contract; it started with a conviction. In early 2025, at an anti-drug awareness event at my college with the Anti Narcotics Bureau (then TGANB), I presented a story book I wrote, Phoenix Rising: The Fight Against Drugs, alongside a prototype of Shield AI, an AI risk assessment tool I had coded. I demonstrated both to Shri Sandeep Shandilya, whose vision of a drug-free Telangana was as intense as it was inspiring, and I was invited to contribute to the state's mission.

What followed was months of intense development: from a student project to a full-scale, production-ready ecosystem on a .gov.in domain, built from scratch.

The Eagle AI ecosystem

I architected the platform from conception to production deployment as a solo developer: a 26-module ecosystem with three flagship AI engines, a first for a law enforcement agency in India.

• SAHAY AI: a 24/7 multilingual AI companion (English, Telugu, Hindi and Urdu) giving anonymous, real-time support to people struggling with substance abuse.
• SHIELD AI: an AI risk assessment engine that uses predictive modelling to help people understand personal risk factors, with personalised guidance for early intervention and prevention.
• MITRA-TG: a confidential screening tool for parents and educators to identify early warning signs in adolescents and help them.

The platform runs on EagleAI, a sovereign language model pretrained from scratch for drug law enforcement.

A rare milestone for a student architect

In India, government digital infrastructure is usually built by large companies or the NIC. Taking a project from the first line of code to a live production deployment on a government domain, as a solo student developer, is a rare and humbling milestone. It shows that what a student can build isn't limited by age, only by the scale of the opportunity.

A project of this scale on a .gov.in domain takes immense trust. My deepest gratitude to DGP Shri B. Shivadhar Reddy, IPS; Director Shri Sandeep Shandilya (Retd. IPS); DIG Shri Abhishek Mohanty, IPS; and SP Tech Shri KCS Raghu Vir, for their faith in a solo student architect and for the creative freedom to engineer these systems.

This milestone follows the recognition I received from the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Shri Anumula Revanth Reddy, on 26 June 2025, which first fuelled my drive to use AI for social good.

Coming from Tatipamula village in Wanaparthy, and studying in Hyderabad, I hope this shows that local talent can build world-class technology for the nation.
